Create a group fundraiser on Instagram

You can invite others to join your nonprofit fundraiser on Instagram. Members of your fundraiser can share the fundraiser on their posts, Live videos, and Stories.

Create a group fundraiser
Note: To add collaborators to your fundraiser, your profile must be public.
Create your fundraiser on Android
Note: If the people you invite have an active fundraiser on their profile, then they won’t be able to join your fundraiser until theirs has ended. They can choose to end their fundraiser early. Learn how to end a fundraiser early.
Step 1: Create fundraiser post
  1. On your Android, open the Instagram app.
  2. Tap create new at the bottom or swipe right anywhere in Feed.
  3. Tap POST.
  4. Choose an image and at the top right, tap .
  5. Choose filter and tap .
  6. Write a caption for your post.
Step 2: Add fundraiser to post and invite collaborators
  1. Below New post, tap Add fundraiser.
  2. Choose the nonprofit you want to raise money for.
  3. Set the amount of money you want to raise.
  4. Tap Invite collaborators.
  5. Next to the names of the people you want to invite, tap Invite.
  6. When you’re finished inviting people, at the top right, tap Done.
  7. At the top right, tap accept.
The people you invited will get a notification on Instagram. If they accept your invitation, then you’ll see their name and profile picture at the bottom right of your fundraiser image.
Invite collaborators to an existing fundraiser on Android
If you’ve already created a fundraiser, you can still invite your friends and followers to fundraise with you.
Note: If the people you invite have a fundraiser active on their own profile, then they won’t be able to join until their fundraiser has ended. They can choose to end a fundraiser early. Learn how to end a fundraiser early.
Invite collaborators
  1. On your Android, open the Instagram app.
  2. Tap on your profile picture to go to your bio.
  3. Tap on the fundraiser name to go to the fundraiser page.
  4. Below the image you chose for the fundraiser, tap Share and invite.
  5. Tap Invite collaborators.
  6. Next to the names of the people you want to invite, tap Invite.
  7. When you’re finished, at the top right, tap Done.
The people you invited will get a notification on Instagram. If they accept your invitation, then you’ll see their name and profile picture in the bottom right of your fundraiser image.
